I am a Financial Advice Provider with a full licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority. You can check that I am a Financial Advice Provider at http://www.fspr.govt.nz.  The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) regulates financial advisers. Nature and scope of financial advice service
I provide advice on personal risk management which includes insurance for life, trauma, disability, income, ‘key person’ and health. I deal with the following insurance companies:  AIA, Asteron, nib and Resolution Life.

Fees, expenses, or other amounts payable
Unless I advise you I do not charge fees or bill you for my time or travel. Instead I receive commission from the insurance company if you place your business with me and if it is accepted and issued. The payment to me is between 30 and 190% of the annual premium you pay and I am also paid an ongoing commission each year from the insurer between 3 and 20% to help you review your cover, answer any questions and implement changes that you may require. I also assist you with any claims. There is no additional cost to you for this.
 
Conflicts of interest and commissions or other incentives
If your policy is accepted the insurer will pay me direct as above. To ensure I prioritise my clients’ interests above my own I follow an advice process that ensures my recommendations are made on the basis of each client’s individual goals and circumstances.
I hold the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 (version 2). I also undergo regular training, both internally and with the insurers. I regularly review my compliance program and internal processes.
 
Complaints process
If you have a problem, concern, or complaint about any part of my service please tell me so that I can try to fix the problem. I have an internal complaints process which ensures that your concern is dealt with promptly and fairly.
 
Dispute resolution process
If we cannot agree on how to fix the issue, or if you decide not to use my internal complaints process, you can contact the Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme (IFSO). This service is free and will help us resolve any disagreements. The IFSO contact details are:
